剧情介绍：梦想成为拳手的崔倍达，少年时欲拜Beom-soo为师学武，但韩国独立运动后Beom-soo便消声匿迹。崔倍达长大后想成为飞机师，便走到日本，加入青年空军行列。入伍途中，崔倍达被同是韩国人的Chun-bae行劫，两人不打不相识，更成为好友。某夜，日本少女阳子被美军调戏，幸得崔倍达及时营救。双方一见钟情，崔倍达更经常找机会约会阳子。其后崔倍达和Chun-bae在夜市场经营波子机游戏为生，却受到盘踞该处的日本喽啰所羞辱。这时候，已隐姓埋名，生活在马戏团的Beom-soo再次出现，救回两人。崔倍达和Chun-bae寄居在马戏团，崔倍达再恳求Beom-soo传授武术。Beom-soo并未答允，只留下武学经典“五轮经”给崔倍达，要他自己参透当中的精髓。不久，日本喽啰再次包围马戏团，Beom-soo死在首领刀下。伤心欲绝的崔倍达联同一众韩国人把喽啰杀掉后，便离开了Chun-bae和阳子，独自带着“五轮经”到深山修练。在严寒下苦练成功的崔倍达下山，巡回了京都、札幌和奈良等城市，击败当地空手道、柔道和柔术道场的一众高手。可是，害怕战死的崔倍达把加藤的手下龙马杀死后，内心悔疚不已，决意放弃武术。然而，崔倍达的出现已令整个日本武术界大为震怒，并要加藤代为报仇……
